My friend and I traveled to Cancun for a ballroom dance competition. We stayed at the Courtyard Marriott for the first night and then moved onto a larger resort for the remainder of our stay to be closer to the competition. The courtyard did not disappoint! It was a great, quiet, clean, upgraded and a lovely hotel to relax at just after getting off a 4.5 hour flight from LAX. The FOOD was the best!!!!!! I will return for the food! =) The only part that was not up to par like other U.S. Courtyard's was the bed. It was ok but nothing like the nicer heavely beds in the U.S. Oh and the Fitness Center was great!!!

We stayed here 1 night before a 10:30 AM flight the next day.
Check in was easy, room was nicely appointed and enjoyed the TV.. Bath had plenty of hot water.
The next morning we went to breakfast at 6:30 AM which is when they open.
One of the waiters immediatley came with coffee and cream. The chef came out and made excellent omelettes. There was a nice selection of foods on the buffet.
Would highly recommend.

We stayed at this hotel on our last night for a 6am flight out of Cancun and we were happy. We didn't show up until 8pm and there were still no problems checking in at all.

Hotel Location
Its a lot closer to the airport but not very close to the beaches. We had to take about a 20 minute cab ride to the hotel from the beach we were at that afternoon. The hotel was close to the end of the hotel zone.

Checkin
Really no problems at all. Everyone seems to wait until late to check in. When we arrived at 8pm there are 5 others checking in and 3 showed up behind me. There was a small glitch but no problem. They had me as pay at the hotel when I prepaid. I just showed them my voucher and it was no problem.

Room
The rooms were just like all other Courtyards. In good shape and nice. They were well kept. There was a small fridge in the room.

Beds
No problem with them at all. 2 double beds. No problem with the beds. Nothing bad and nothing super great.

Bedroom
We had a double room, 111 I think. It was spacious and had a big chair and desk.

Bathroom
It was big and clean with a good hair dryer.

TV
The TV had a good selection of channels. All spanish or english language.

Room safe
It had an electronic room safe.

Pool/Hot tub
The hotel had a nice pool and even better hot tub. The hot tub got a little crowded but it was still relaxing. The front desk will give you towels for the pool. I think the pool was heated.

Restaurant
The location had a restaurant that seemed to be open late. I did not eat at the restaurant but there was a good crowd in there when we arrived.

Sundry shop
There was a sundry shop that sold snacks, drinks and other sundry.
Business Center
They had a business center with computers that you could check your email. They had a printer but when I tried to print out my boarding pass it was out of ink.

Checkout
No problems at 5am. They called us a cab and also checked us out quick.

There was also a shuttle to a beach club but we did not try it.

The taxi from the hotel to the airport was 150 pesos. More then I think it should have cost but they always overcharge you at a hotel. They have a shuttle but it starts at 5am so it was later then we wanted to wait since our flight was at 6am.

Overall I was happy. I would stay here again and recommend it to friends. It might be just as easy to stay at a hotelzone hotel but this was a lot cheaper then our all inclusive.

Nice hotel to spend our last night. We had an early morning filght the next day. Nice and clean and comfortable. Restuarant in the hotel but we had a car and ate downtown. We returned our car at the airport , the night before and the hotel van picked us up. Accomodating staff that got us to the airport (3 min. away), on time. Complementary van ride. Great airport hotel.
