Lorenzillo's is absolutely my FAVORITE restaurant in Cancun. I've tried other's like Puerto Maderas, but you just can't top Lorenzillo's. We were there on a family vacation in June 2008 and just had to go back. It had been three years since our last vacation to Cancun and visit to Lorenzillo's and my memory of the fantastic food was still spot on! The creamed spinach they serve with most entrees is just fantastic! I had the coconut shrimp this time and it was just amazing. My family had everthing from shrimp, grouper, steak and salad and of course, a fantastic cheesecake dessert and it's just wonderful. Definitely put this restaurant at the TOP of your list!!!

I am very critical when it comes to food and I have to say Lorenzillos far exceeded my expectations. The food and service was fantastic. Yes, it is on the pricey side but you get what you pay for (and besides that, nothing is really "cheap" in the hotel zone when it comes to fine dining). I had the steak and lobster along with the ceviche and mint pie, all were delicious. The lobster is farm raised right out in front of the restaurant so it doesnt get much fresher. One needs to realize that these are Carribean lobsters not Maine or Rock as others might be used to in the States. The taste and texture are a bit different. The steaks are good, dont expect the huge slabs of prime which you would get at a steakhouse in the States, but it was very good. I highly commended the waitstaff as this place was right at the top for all of the places I have eaten all over the world.

Save your money. The lobster was not all that great, hoever, the scenery was great and the service was awesome.

Great, could go every week and invite everyone who loves good food , service, taste, well know by it´s seafood specialties, try the Tiger prawns ( Camarones tigre)
