glitzy nouveau Cancun disappears here.... despite the rain, and the hurried dash for inside dining... the staff and food here were terrific.. a great escape from the typical plates of mexican fame...... harking on old Mexican flavors with classy dining and excellent atmosphere. I love the street-corner carts and fried everythings that Mexico offers, but welcomed the change at least for one night..

This place is just lovely - what a beautiful garden setting. You actually don't need to have an ocean view at this place - the garden makes up for it! The food is fine - nothing special but the setting makes up for it!

We went here at the recommendation of a friend. We loved the walk from the bus through "old" Mexico. The dining area was beautiful. We felt like we were in Italy or Prague. Very romantic atmosphe. Attentive staff. My husband and I both found the food "so so" - I tried "authentic Mexican cusine" and maybe it was the flaovrs I did like, My husband found the beef - too large and rather tough - we felt we should have selected menu items that we always have and therefore could compare. We will definitely go back on our next trip as we loved the place.

The service was outstanding, with highly attentive, helpful, and respectful servers. The atmosphere of the garden was relaxing, and they were highly accomodating of the large group we brought that night (~15 people).

The food was perfect. The most memorable dish I tried was the garlic seafood (Tapa al Ajillo, on the appetizer menu), a light combination of shrimp, scallops, squid (not fried and ruined like most places)... all prepared to perfection with garlic.

Also the only restaurant that serves a truely hot salsa if desired with their dishes.

They don't skimp on flavor to say the least! WONDERFUL place.

As first timers to Cancun we read other Trip Advisor review and as this was also on thehotels reccomended we went last night and were glad we did. You will be blown away when you step from the City streets into the beautiful tranquil outdoor garend.. It is one of the most beautiful settings we have ever dined in.. the service though a tad slow at firts improved as the night wore on...as there were large parties they had to deal with prior to our geting there... The staff aims to please in everyway....The homemade rollls and bread were superb and plentiful and I would strongly reccomend the Fresh Catch of the day.. we had Grouper that simply melted in our mouth...I suggest you tell the server exactly how you would like you food prepared with emphasis as it surely seem the kitchen looked to accomodate...Dinner for 4 of us with 2 rounds of margaritas was $130 US...in comparison to restuarants in the states ..the quality of food, service, ambience makes this look like a bargain.. If you are looking to have a memorable dining experience in a setting you'll forever remember..this is a vacation stop I would highly reccomend and will return to...
