In my first trip to Mexico last year I arrived very late (midnight) at Villas Latinas. The owner was up and waiting for me, concerned about my trouble in arriving. She took me to my room, offered to cook me some food, and brought me cold beer. These owners are so welcoming and warm. You can only feel comfortable around them. If you need anything, just ask. Breakfast is simple, large and authentic. It is also very reasonable. The rooms are clean and comfortable. My room overlooked the beach and beautiful sea. This small hotel was recommended to me as a very reasonable place on the beach in Puerto Morelos. Sit on your veranda and read in the ocean breeze or just walk 50 paces across the hotel sandy front to the beach, drop your towel, and wade into the warm waters. There are private snorkeling businesses right there for less than the rest of town especially for hotel guests. They have a nice pool if you're needing such and off street parking. Its a short walk (2 blocks) to the main square of town. Try the various restaurants and small bars in town. You can eat simply or gormet (try John Grays Place). I actually hate to share Villas Latinas... it is the place to go to simply relax at a quiet place and let the Mexican Caribbean soothe you. I will be returning for my fourth visit next week.

I stayed at this hotel two years ago for a school trip. The staff was very nice and we got to know some of them very well over the course of the week that we were there. I would reccommend this hotel to anyone. It is very close to the downtown area and it is still on the beach.

We visited Puerto Morelos for two- weeks, and just fell in love with the place. We stayed at a hotel called Hotel Villas Latinas, and let me tell you, We had a blast, They have and outdoor swimming pool, a restaurant- bar with killer breakfast, a little slow, but worth the wait, and they have beautiful, peacful rooms, The room we stayed in had a great view of the coral reef right in front of the hotel. The rooms offer kitchenettes, private baths, two full size beds, plus places to hang a Hammock. The service is wonderful, and makes you feel right at home. If you want to relax, and have a great time, Hotel Villas Latinas is the place to go in Puerto Morelos.
