A "must do" for anyone going to Cancun is to take a bus to Mercado 28. This is a huge, open- air flea market where vendors sell their goods and wares. It is the best place to purchase souvenirs and get the best price. You can haggle with the store owners and get most items for much less than they ask for. There are also a couple of little restaurants in the middle of the market that have excellent, authentic Mexican food.

The Cancun Airport is a great place to do some last minute shopping & offers some of the best prices in town, if you’re the type who doesn’t like to haggle in the markets.  You’ll find duty- free shops, souvenir stores, silver kiosks and more.  Just be sure to get to the airport early so you have plenty of time to look around!
